A Case of Branchiogenic Carcinoma

Abstract
|
|
|
Branchiogenic carcinoma is a very rare malignant tumor originating from branchial remnant and since 1950 when Martin et al made the diagnostic criteria for branchiogenic carcinoma there have been only a few cases of this disease being reported.
Recently we removed completely a tumor mass from the carotid triangle of a 59 year old male patient by radical neck dissection.
Therefore we are reporting by surgical & pathohistologic observation that we have with the help of radiotherapy treated branchiogenic carcinoma in branchial cyst arising from the second branchial arch.
